A ruling in the Bradley Manning court-martial could come as early as this weekend from the military Judge, Col. Denise Lind. Reporters are back at Ft. Meade for what is likely to be the final day of closing arguments and proceedings before that decision happens. Yesterday, press reported of newly extreme policing of their activities by armed military guards, which was later found to be the result of an order by the judge. Below, a few morning tweets from news reporters, bloggers, and artists who are back at it again today. Army Internet has been periodically shut off for press, and they’re not allowed to bring their own mobile internet devices.
Back at the Ft. Meade pressroom. I'll be in the jury box today so I won't be tweeting too much until recess.

Military police are going to be here today doing sensor checks for other wi-fi signals other than one at media center #Manning

Was explained why armed MPs were here. Instead of kicking out reporters "violating" rules, military decided to patrol press. #Manning

If judge issued order for military police to inspect & patrol press at media center, that should be available for press to read #Manning

Press pool much more tense today, even during discussion of whether court could be open this weekend. Likely due to increased restrictions..

The Internet was down for ten minutes. So, just a heads up likely intermittent and problematic today. #Manning cc @FreedomofPress
