Send WFMU's station manager aloft with party balloons tied to a lawn chair

Benjamen Walker is the host and producer of WFMU's Too Much Information, an appealingly bizarre and exquisitely produced hour-long show that combines the sensibilities of Paul Krassner, The Church of the SubGenius, This American Life, Art Bell, and Joe Frank. You can subscribe to the podcast here.

Benjamen just told me that WFMU's station manager is raising funds for the station today by launching into the air with a lawnchair attached to helium party balloons. For every $1000 in donations, staffers will tie one balloon to the chair. There's a live video stream here.

(If you aren't familiar with WFMU, you are missing out. It's the best radio station ever. Here's the free iPhone app that streams archives and live broadcasts of the show.)
