Illegitimate, popular vote losing, and manifestly unfit United States President Donald Trump said on Monday that at a recent dinner with Tim Cook — what, you didn't think they hung out and shared meals? — the Apple CEO made a “very compelling argument” that Apple may lose its competitive edge to Samsung because of Trump's tariffs on goods from China.
As Bloomberg News reported, Samsung won't be hit by those same tariffs when exporting goods to the U.S., because Samsung makes them in Korea.
Trump, who is an idiot, spoke today as if finally realizing that China tariffs will end up harming American technology companies more than they harm China.
“It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if it’s competing with a very good company that’s not,” Trump said.
Tim Cook had chat with Trump about Apple rival Samsung.
Majority of Apple’s products, made in China, due to be hit with 10% tariffs in next weeks/months.
Samsung products won’t be subject to tariffs when imported by U.S. because made in South Korea.https://t.co/DNcHEqimxb

Trump again admits the tariffs China was supposedly paying are actually borne by U.S. companies — this time while talking about Applehttps://t.co/0DSIqZJKm6

?Here, President Trump says Apple is paying the tariffs, which makes it harder to compete w Samsung. Previously he said China is paying the tariffs. & Navarro said yesterday China is paying the entire cost of the tariffs & they’re having no effect on US companies and consumers. https://t.co/lUnIKzBzaw
