It's the 50th anniversary of San Francisco's "Summer of Love" and the city is blooming with ways to celebrate.
On Monday, to honor the milestone and to help promote its "Flower Power" exhibit, the Asian Art Museum created a huge lotus flower, of people.
The museum gathered 2,405 participants in San Francisco's Civic Center Plaza to form the "World's Largest Human Flower." The stunt, called LOTUS LIVE, also earned the museum a Guinness World Record title.
By linking thousands of strangers to form a flower that epitomizes serenity, incorruptibility and non-violence, LOTUS LIVE connects us with the living legacy of the Summer of Love and the uplifting power of community togetherness and compassion for all.
As you can see, a local drone crew captured a short timelapse video of the museum's big win from high in the sky.
