Duge Beipanjiang Bridge crosses a gorge 565 meters above China's Nizhu River. That's a bigger height than One World Trade Center, and beats the previous record-holder by about 70 meters.
Among bridge-measurers, there's a distinction between the world's tallest bridge and the world's highest bridge. Tallest bridges are ranked by the height of their structure. Bridge height is further broken down into two categories: structural height, or the highest point on the bridge, and deck height. Typically, deck height is the standard for measuring highest bridges.
Some kook already scaled to the top to film a marriage proposal, and I'm sure the base jumpers and other folks will arrive in short order.
