Tomorrow (Friday, 2/7), I'll be speaking at the Lift Conference, a digital tech and culture event taking place in Geneva, Switzerland. It was in Switzerland where Albert Hoffman first synthesized LSD in 1938 so I decided to give a talk about the intersection of psychedelic culture and computer technology from the 1960s to the present and beyond! My very short presentation is titled: "Just Say Know: A Cyberdelic History of the Future." I'm speaking at 16:00 CET tomorrow during a session called "Counterculture inspiring industries." What a great topic for a panel! There are a slew of great speakers at Lift and you can stream the conference here.

And if my topic interests you, I highly recommend you check out these two fantastic books about the trippy early daze of computer culture:

• John Markoff's "What the Dormouse Said: How the Sixties Counterculture Shaped the Personal Computer Industry"

• Fred Turner's "From Counterculture to Cyberculture: Stewart Brand, the Whole Earth Network, and the Rise of Digital Utopianism."
