He hires only the best people, Trump told us.
Last night on Fox News, president Donald Trump accused his former national security adviser John Bolton of breaking the law by writing and publishing a White House tell-all memoir.
Today, he calls Bolton a “sick puppy,” and bashes him on bad book reviews.
These tweets undermine the Justice Department's case against Bolton.
Trump says puppies should be fired.
Puppies.
Bolton’s book, which is getting terrible reviews, is a compilation of lies and made up stories, all intended to make me look bad. Many of the ridiculous statements he attributes to me were never made, pure fiction. Just trying to get even for firing him like the sick puppy he is!
Okay.
One of the enduring mysteries of the presidential psyche: Why does he hate puppies so much? https://t.co/z43fD2hWiF

For all his bloviating, Trump is probably thrilled that, like him, Bolton has decided that profiting off of public service is better than actually doing what's in the best interest of the public — which for Bolton would have meant testifying in Trump's impeachment trial https://t.co/TEKvXCNyVW
