Artist Masumi Ishikawa has announced a new project to immortalize iconic David Bowie imagery in the style of ukiyo-e, or Japanese woodcuts. The David Bowie Ukiyo-e Exhibition will be held at BOOKMARC in Tokyo from June 23rd to July 1st and will include work inspired by Brian Duffys’s 1973 “Aladdin Sane” cover (shown above).
