Fortnite Season 4 has arrived, and the meteor has finally struck our island!
Fortnite has rapidly become the most popular videogame out there. The networked Battle Royale game pits 99 players against each other, or various combinations of teams, in a crazy cartoon of a world.
Something like a mash up of Doom, Minecraft and the Adam West Batman tv-series, Fortnite is fun for everyone, a game where twitchy kid reflexes are evenly matched by decades of guile.
I’m on my way to buy my Battle Pass now.
**UPDATE: I logged in, bought my battlepass and played one round. The meteor has struck Dusty Depot, turning it into Dusty DIVOT! Explore the crater to find some odd glowing rocks which, when crushed, give you a temporary super-jump and super-speed. Awesome!
There are other updates to the map.
The Battle Pass instantly awards you some new skins and a ton of new challenges, as well as classes of challenge. My daughter and I will certainly be playing tonight.
