Every year, the readers of Locus Magazine collaborate with its editorial board to nominate and vote on their favorite science fiction and fantasy works; this year’s finalist list came out today, and I’m pleased to see my novel Walkaway among some very good company indeed.
The finalists include some of the works I enjoyed and reviewed here in 2017: Ian McDonald’s Luna: Wolf Moon; Kim Stanley Robinson’s New York 2140, John Scalzi’s Collapsing Empire, Ada Palmer’s Seven Surrenders, Seanan McGuire’s Down Among the Sticks and Bones, as well as Jeff Vandermeer’s Borne (which I enjoyed but did not get a chance to review).
The Locus Awards Ceremony is in Seattle from June 22-24 with Connie Willis emceeing.
