Cody from Cody's lab had some elemental tin and a new rolling press, so he decided to craft a tin can from actual tin.
He shows some vestiges of his first attempt in the video. That can ended up with some chunks of solder and other adulterations, so he revamped the can-making process. He's able to create a can that holds a seal and (barely) accommodates julienned string beans. He promises to open his successful can in about a year to determine if it was truly successful.
Hope he knows the symptoms of home-canned botulism just in case!
