Steve Mnuchin is the gilded age cartoon villain that Trump put in charge of the Treasury where he served as one of the architects of the catastrophic Republican tax plan, so naturally someone sent him a giftwrapped box of horse manure with a tag reading "from the American people."
Mnuchin called the bomb squad to investigate the parcel, which was left on the doorstep of his Bel Air mansion. One of Mnuchin's neighbors, Prince Frederic von Anhalt (widower of Zsa Zsa Gabor, and purchaser of royal titles by means of a creepy "adult adoption") was revolted by the police department's inconsiderate bomb-squad deployment: "We have $50 million homes and we can’t move. We can’t get out. That’s bad. They have to find another way."
Update: The manure was sent by a guy named Robert Strong who predicted it would "go down in the anals of history."
Strong's note read: "Dear Misters Trump and Mnuchin, we are returning the 'gift' of the Christmas tax bill. It's bull shit. Warmest wishes, the American people. PS-Kiss Donald for me."
The substance ended up being horse manure, police said. And, according to aerial footage, there was a lot of it.Afterward, at least three officers could be seen standing around the pile, shining flashlights on the manure and moving it around with their feet, presumably to check whether anything else might be hidden in it.
