Earlier this year, Tate Modern's Switch House extension included a wonderful installation of fog art by Fujiko Nakaya.
Tate Modern has announced a bold new artwork – artificial fog. Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya will be installing a cloud of mist in London, which was famous for being cloaked in fog in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, for a 10-day exhibition next year.
The 83-year-old artist has been working since the 1970s to develop a system to disperse water vapour at high pressure to create a cloud of mist. Her father is credited with making the first artificial snowflakes.
Nakaya first became interested in fog after painting clouds.

This one is lovely when the children see it come on.
