Rube Goldbergian clocks for your walls and mantlepieces

In an age of ubiquitous, self-synchronizing phones, timepieces are increasingly a form of kinetic sculpture.

It’s a role they’ve always filled, but never moreso than today, as clocks are all-but-liberated from the need to be legible timekeepers.

The aptly named Needlessly Complex company produces a wide range of wall- and mantlepiece-clocks that tell time in odd fashion, often with a lot of verge and humor, with customizable fittings made from laser-cut acrylic.
