Please join me, Brewster Kahle and our special guests for a big Access
To Knowledge event about India on June 14th at the Internet Archive.
Here’s why you should come if you’re in town:
1. I have personally arranged the catering, including 7.5 kg of masala
dried fruits, 2.5 kg of authentic Indian pickles, baskets of nan, mango
lassis.
2. Our special guests are the Hon. Dr. Sam Pitroda, the man who put a
telephone in every village in India, and Ambassador Venkatesan Ashok,
the Consul-General.
3. We’ve got a half-million books, 129 audio files of Gandhi speaking,
the 100-volume Collected Works of Gandhi, the collected works of Nehru
and Ambedkar, a 53-episode history of India, 12,000 photographs, and so
much more.
4. You can witness the Ambassador and Sam Pitroda present Brewster with
a 15-pound brass bell with a carving of Ganesh to be installed at the
Archive. We have a bunch of big Gandhi posters, India bunting, and
Gandhi postcards for everybody.
