Welp.
From the NYT:
President Trump told Russian officials in the Oval Office this month that firing the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a document summarizing the meeting.
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
Mr. Trump added, “I’m not under investigation.”
The levels of crazy in this story
1. he said this to the Russians of all people
2. Bragging about canning Comey
3. the thing actually leaked— Sam Stein (@samsteinhp) May 19, 2017

This is the most stunning thing in the story:
"Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, did not dispute the account."

The White House didn't deny Trump's comments, but says "the real story" is "the leaking of private and highly classified conversations." https://t.co/5JOasxBRf7

So I think we can all dispense with "Hmm, will we ever really know why Trump fired Comey?" https://t.co/PkoOq24pgK

That's the same meeting that #Trump disclosed high classified Intel, US press was barred and now Russia says it has a transcript.
