Watch breathtaking fireballs through a trippy kaleidoscopic effect

For their film Fire, Saulo Jamariqueli and Dirk Rees put a couple of fire breathers in a dark studio with a reflective surface, then ran the impressive footage through a kaleidoscope filter, making it even cooler.

How did they get such remarkable source footage? A well-controlled set and a very high frame rate:

In this piece we collaborated with fire breathers who can beautifully manipulate fire in their performances. The film was shot in super slow motion with a Phantom camera at 1000 frames per second.
