Israeli artist Uri Shapira creates beautiful photos and timelapse videos of chemical reactions and algae growth, generating beautiful patterns that seem otherworldly.
Uri writes:
The photographs are achieved by digital stitching of dozens macro frames into extreme high resolution discovery images, where Information hidden from bare eyes is magnified & revealed. This method, much like a scan, allows neutralizing the mediating lens and point of view; the photograph no longer serves as representation- it becomes a fact. On the other hand, it hides a dimension of time, converted into the physical space which never really existed as seen in the image.
Bonus videos (note: some have kind of unpleasant sfx)
