Bono named in Glamour magazine's Women of the Year list

U2 singer Bono is named among Glamour magazine’s women of the year in recognition of his campaigning for womens’ rights. The general reception runs the gamut from appalled dismay to despairing laughter.

Bono said he was grateful, and that men “have to be involved in the solutions,” etc.

Comedy writer Travon Free tweeted “Does Glamour magazine know giving bono the Woman of the year award to trying to undo patriarchy undercuts the entire point of the award.”

Another user named Stephanie Peat tweeted: “Bono has been named Glamour’s woman of the year. To be fair with only 3.7 billion women it must be tough to find a worthy one.”

Just think: 2016 still has so much worse in store!
