Makeshift candles from household items

If the power goes out, Willow Haven Outdoor reminds us you might have some household items that would make a good candle. One crayon is great, but three lashed together with a wick in the middle will last even longer. Wicks can be made from twine, string mops, or the drawstring from some clothes in a bind.

They also suggest strapping a reading light headband to a milk jug for a portable headlight effect.
