Boko Haram attack in Nigeria kills as many as 100, unknown number of women and children kidnapped

Another brutal attack is reported to have taken place in Nigeria, led by the Islamic armed group Boko Haram. On Saturday night, Boko Haram militants carrying machine guns rolled into the village of Dalori on motorcycles, opening fire on every living thing in sight.

On Monday, officials with the Nigerian government said the rampage left 65 people dead, and at least twice that number injured.

Relief workers say some villagers fled into the bush, watching as the attackers torched their homes snatched their children.

One attack survivor said Boko Haram fighters seized his four children, dragging them off with them into the bush. An unknown number of children were among the dead.

At least 65 people were killed and 136 others injured, Nigeria's National Emergency Management Agency said on its official Twitter account Monday, though some accounts put the death toll higher. Borno State Health Commissioner Haruna Mshelia said Monday that 85 people were killed, 16 others were missing, and 59 others were injured.
