Walk through the incredible installation inside the Japan pavillion at Venice Biennale

Last spring, we went to Venice to celebrate my wife's birthday and took a boat to the Biennale, which was pretty disappointing, with one notable exception: 'The Key in the Hand,' Chiharu Shiota's installation at the Japan pavilion, which took our breath away.

I took tons of photos of the installation, which was composed of millions of rusty old keys caught in an impossible webwork of red threads that filled the room, which was decorated with the mouldering hull of a wooden boat.

Sergey Khodakovskiy's video walkthrough of the installation does a good job of capturing the sights and sounds, but it still falls short of the experience of seeing it in person. It was really beyond comparison.
