Allison Meier reports on the progress in uncovering a gorgeous Max Spivak midcentury stained-glass mosaic that was found in March hidden behind an aluminum facade.
Spivak was one of the stars of the WPA’s Depression-era artist commissions. Many of his murals have been lost, but this piece at 5 Bryant Park was luckily covered over with minimal damage to the original.
