A Texas cop, filmed pulling a gun on children outside a pool party, has been named as Patrol Supervisor Cpl. Eric Casebolt. Moreover, a "police training" playlist linked to this name has been found on YouTube—and the latest entry is the one of him.
Casebolt was exposed on Twitter by the local Fox Affiliate after his ranting, abusive behavior was exposed over the weekend. The department had suspended him after the video surfaced, but did not disclose his identity.
Gawker's Brendan O'Connor reports that "decase73" did not take down his social networking profiles fast enough to stop the internet finding out about his "Police Training" youtube playlist, stocked with videos of cops brutalizing members of the public and showing off their toys and tactics.
Decase73’s Youtube playlist features a dozen videos with titles like “Man Attacks Baltimore Police Officer,” “Man Sucker-Punches Cop Gets Kicked in the Face,” and “Chief tells the TRUTH that Black People don’t want to hear.” All would appear to reflect a mindset that police officers are entitled to use any and all force necessary to subjugate those they ostensibly protect and serve.
Yesterday, the video of Casebolt manhandling a teenage girl and pointing his gun at two boys was added to the playlist.
The authenticity of the profiles hasn't been confirmed. They were all taken down soon after Casebolt's identity was made public.
