Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden near Cape Town, South Africa, offers visitors the chance to walk above the trees. The Centenary Tree Canopy Walkway weaves in, around, and above the tree line, which is how it earned the nickname “Boomslang” or “tree snake.” The whole walkway is just over 420 feet long and it touches the forest floor in two places before rising up almost 40 feet. The Garden’s website has these stunning photos, courtesy of Adam Harrower.
