Kevin Moore came forward with the video and later his identity to explain what he saw the day of Freddie Gray’s arrest.
From Photography is Not a Crime blog: “The man who recorded one of two videos showing Baltimore cops dragging a screaming Freddie Gray into the back of a police van was arrested Thursday night, two days after voicing concerns that police were trying to intimidate him by plastering his photo all over the news, saying they wanted to interview him.”

Moore is the man who, after Gray’s death, released cell phone footage of Gray’s arrest. He later told the Baltimore Sun that Baltimore police officers tackled the 25-year-old victim like “a piece of origami.”
The video that Kevin Moore shot on his cell phone shows at least two police officers placing Freddie Gray into the back of a police van. Gray appears to be crying out in pain.
Police detained Moore Thursday night, along with two others, after handing over a copy of that video to detectives with the department’s Office of Internal Oversight.
Photography is Not a Crime reports authorities took Moore into custody at gunpoint during a traffic stop. He was released two hours later.
Baltimore investigators released this still image from surveillance video, showing Kevin Moore at the site of Gray’s arrest. Baltimore authorities said Moore is wanted for questioning.
