Dead City by JJ Zep

JJ Zep's Dead City is just the fresh twist on the zombie genre I was looking for.

Chris is a champion boxer just beginning to enjoy Manhattan, and his success, when the zombie menace strikes. These zombies aren't like the more common, run of the mill zombie however, they're still talking and it is a new New York! Chris' newborn daughter also presents some interesting plot twists.

Chris is written in a everyman kind of style and I enjoy Zep's imagery and action. This is good zombie fun with a different enough story, and colorful characters, to keep it interesting. I'll be reading the next in the series.
