Tim Weiner, who literally wrote the book on the CIA writes about what lessons we should take from the “torture report,” which is but a preview of what remains to be known. Perhaps the most important lesson, he writes, is that torture doesn't work, and lying to America about it doesn't work either. “False intelligence is worse than no intelligence at all.”
