Robert Bacon has created one hell of a mapsterpiece.
I’ve been wanting to do the San Francisco/Oakland area for these maps for a while now. I really loved how the coast turned out and it was fun thinking of the proper way to represent the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. I really wanted to put the sunken ship around Ocean Beach where the King Philip famously sunk in 1878, but there wasn’t enough room.
Here’s a small printable version, and you can order a full size poster. More of Robert Bacon’s 8-bit maps atmariomaps.com.
