Specialty toy designers Funko take on the weirdest member of the Guardians of the Galaxy with their Groot Bobble-Head figure. The company’s super-deformed style plays better to the character’s design than most others, and the vaguely pleased expression it carries proves oddly comforting. Its lack of any articulation puts it more in the field of a display piece than an action figure to be played with, but you’ll be hard pressed to find anybody young or old who’s seen GotG and won’t want to swing him around a bit. If there’s one complaint to be made, it’s the figure’s relative topheaviness causes it to tip over fairly easily when poked from the front and back, but if you truly insist on bobbling your bobble head, it stands up fine when prodded from the sides. And don’t forget to pre-order the Dancing Groot figure due out early next year.
