Nope, we still don’t know who he is, and he has not been arrested.
The obviously flaky US-based National Report website said police had nabbed the famous yet eternally pseudonymous graffiti artist, after tracking his whereabouts with a “24-hour Anti-Graffiti Task Force”.
The hoax story said his art studio was raided, with “thousands of dollars of counterfeit money along with future projects of vandalism” seized by cops, and exposed Banksy as one 35-year-old Paul Homer, from Liverpool.
The artist was said to be in custody “without bail on charges of vandalism, conspiracy, racketeering and counterfeiting”. None of this was true.
