Sandra writes, "What started as a 'class reunion' of bloggers, Internet activists, and researchers has become Europe's largest and most prominent conference on the future of our society and all things digital: re:publica, the Berlin based conference will happen again on 6-8 May 2014."
To give you some context: re:publica is unlike other conferences which focus on marketing and the usual "show and tell". It's a big festival, but instead of bands it brings together world class speakers, net communities and leading thinkers of our time with activists and engaged organizations to share experiences. re:publica attracts over 5,000 participants but has preserved an open and familiar atmosphere. All in all it's smart, thoughtful and energising — a very good place to be.
This year's motto, INTO THE WILD, is meant as encouragement to present unconventional ideas and projects. In light of the post-Snowden era re:publica is looking for future orientated, reflective, smart, and entertaining contributions on the topics of politics & society, science & technology, culture & entertainment, education, health and business.
The international Call for Papers is open until 7th February 2014 — re:publica extended the deadline a bit for English-language submissions. So you can still take your chance and submit your proposal
