Great tech journalism headed up by Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg. Day one at Recode is packed with good stuff:
• Kara with the latest from Nest, the company that's finally cracking home automation.
• Walt on the sociology of Apple stores, fanboyism, and all that.
• A review of the curved "G Flex" smartphone. (Spoiler: not flexible.)
• Amy Keyishan on Ani DiFranco's "plantation vacation" imbroglio and what it means for Twitterers.
• Peter Kafka on Amazon's increasingly visible web video service.
Even the site's cheesy "1990s AOL promotion"-style branding (spell out "Recode" the way they have, as <re/code>
, and a lot of the web will think it's broken HTML and not even show it!) is a good sign: it proves professional writers are in charge.
