The Residents are a legendary and cryptic avant-garde music collective that began in Louisiana and moved to San Francisco nearly forty years ago. They've since released more than 60 records and a slew of videos, films, CD-ROMs (remember those?) and DVDs. Filmmaker Josh Keppel and friends are going behind The Residents' iconic eyeball masks (well, as best as they can) with a new documentary about the group, titled Theory of Obscurity. The film already hit its goal on Indiegogo but there are still a few days left to support the project. I can't wait to see the movie!
