(PHOTO: Reuters) Media Matters is keeping a list companies still advertising on The Rush Limbaugh Show. According to Media Matters, 45 advertisers have flushed Rush.
Limbaugh reassured his audience today that "Everything's cool."
"Nobody is losing money here, including us, in all this. [The advertisers] are not canceling the business on our stations. They're just saying they don't want their spots to appear in my show."
That doesn't sound like everything's cool to me. You can see who is still advertising on Limbaugh's program at Media Matters. Almost all of the ads are public service announcements, which don't earn revenue and are used to fill up the void left by sponsors who've fled.
I wonder if many Republican politicians are secretly rooting for Limbaugh to receive a Joe McCarthy-style dethroning, because they are scared to death of him?
