Vending Machines is a fun book by Christopher Salyers that shows vending machines from around the world. Most of them, not surprisingly, are from Japan — back home we sell everything from cigarettes to bird feed to used panties that way — but what I appreciated most was the imagery from around the world that reflected the wants/needs/stereotypes of a culture. This is a pizza and pasta vending machine in Italy; a couple more examples after the jump.
