Our WIRED friend Melanie Cornwell gives us a heads up on the final two special events at the ongoing WIRED NextFest in Chicago this week. If you’re in town, you gotta go! Melanie explains:
[First, an] homage to “Inside the Actors Studio” called “Inside the Gamers Studio” with Chris Hardwick tackling the Lipton role in a live interview with Alex Seropian, founder of Bungie Studios and EP of Halo.
This will be followed by our first ever Brain Bowl, in which super smart Chicago-area college students who play Quiz Bowl take on Wired editors, Chicago professors and other notables. We’ve been unofficially calling this event “Are you smarter than a Wired editor?” and when it comes to the students, the answer is surely “Yes!” As one of our editors noted, the students are still in the process of learning, while he spends a lot of his time forgetting. :-) Hardwick returns to his game show roots as host, it should be hilarious.
