BMX art in Bejiing

Haro-Nike Sculpture News

BMX Racing is now a part of the Summer Olympics and to celebrate, Nike and BMX legend Bob Haro are presenting an art show in Beijing with a unique premise. Thirty artists with roots in BMX culture were asked to create a piece of art inspired by Haro’s iconic “lightning bolt” number plate from the front of his bike. Seen here are works by Imaginary Foundation’s Nick Philip (left) and Indicate Design Group’s Richard Hansen. Click the images for larger size. The show, titled Lightning Bolts, is on display in an abandoned petroleum tank in Beijing’s 798 Arts District. Cool Hunting has more of the art from the show. Link
